Women Can Build LatAm: an initiative to boost women’s talent in the construction sector in Latin America and Europe
On International Women’s Day, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción reaffirms its strategic commitment to women’s talent in the sector, celebrating the completion of Women Can Build LatAm, its first transatlantic project to promote equal opportunities in construction. Construction Blueprint 2 identifies the most important skills needs in the construction sector

The consortium has published a report that identifies the top priority skills in 10 key construction occupations across 10 European countries. The study prioritises green, digital and transversal skills, and proposes flexible and modular training to drive a more sustainable, digital and competitive sector in Europe.

Construye 2030plus validates its training on the new EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive

The project has brought together representatives from public administrations, professional colleges and sector associations to validate the training on the new EPBD. The free online course complements a set of resources focusing on green micro-skills for workers and installers of thermal insulation, external joinery and heat pumps

Drone4Build and BUSUnited: two commitments to digitalisation and sustainability

FLC is taking part in two new European projects: Drone4Build, which improves skills in the use of drones in construction, and BUSUnited, which creates a European community of professionals specialising in sustainable energy, aligning with initiatives such as Construye 2030plus and Construction Blueprint 2.

Boosting innovation in training in the construction sector through the XR Energy project
The European project has developed immersive training resources based on extended reality, 360º images and BIM models, improving technical training and the sector’s qualification. Recognised at international awards and conferences, it drives educational innovation and the attraction of new talent towards construction.

Meeting in Madrid of the BUSUnited EU consortium at a key event for the sector
The meeting provided an opportunity to coordinate the 7 Communities of Practice dedicated to promoting skills in the sustainable sector, share progress, strengthen synergies with other initiatives such as Construye 2030plus, and visit the FESCOMAD and REBUILD trade fairs to get firsthand insight into the sector’s latest innovations.

Repower Regions project advances solutions for decarbonising heating and cooling
The European consortium has met in Norway to move forward in building an alliance between higher education, Vocational Education and Training (VET), Continuing Vocational Training (CVET), companies and public administrations, to boost improvements in skills and training innovation for heating and cooling systems.
