FUTURE4VET is an Erasmus+ project that aims to modernise vocational education and training (VET) by integrating AI-supported adaptive learning into both formal and work-based training.

Responding to the growing demand for digital and green skills, particularly in sectors undergoing rapid transformation such as construction, the project will develop innovative, gamified microlearning pathways aligned with the European competence frameworks (DigComp, GreenComp and LifeComp).

By strengthening the capacity of VET providers and trainers, validating a scalable European implementation model, and promoting open, transferable learning solutions, FUTURE4VET seeks to equip learners with future-oriented competences while supporting the long-term digital and green transformation of VET systems across Europe.

Results:

• A European Future Skills Competence Mapping and sector-specific learning architecture.
• An Adaptive Learning Design Framework translating pedagogical models into AI-supported learning logic.
• A functional AI-enabled Open edX environment integrating adaptive recommendation systems and learning analytics.
• Pilot implementation in at least three countries involving VET learners and trainers in real work-based contexts.
• A validated European Implementation and Transfer Model, including sustainability and policy recommendations.
