On 21 May, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, together with the Madrid Employment Agency, organised the conference "Women in the construction sector: Training and Employability", which brought together around 60 attendees committed to moving towards a more egalitarian and inclusive sector in Europe and Latin America.
Driven by the European Commission, the Pact For Skills promotes skills upgrading in key sectors such as construction. In this framework, the Construction Blueprint 2 project strengthens cooperation and adapts training to the challenges of the green and digital transition.
The consortium held its second steering meeting to review technical progress and plan the next steps of the BUILD UP Skills initiative on its way to "improve the training and certification of key micro-competences for the green transition of the construction sector".
The 'INSIDE CoVE' and 'rePOWER Regions' projects, co-funded by the EU's Erasmus+ programme, are part of the commitments to improve vocational training in construction in line with the European objectives for the digital and ecological transition.
Two VET students from FLC participate in the training experience 'Master Your Skills 2025', within the framework of the 'CONCRETO' project, which closed with a conference organised at the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos.
The Erasmus+ project develops online tools and digital resources to facilitate the linguistic, cultural and professional integration of refugees in the construction sector, responding to the European challenge of increasing the skilled labour force in the industry.
